Longitudinal pattern of cytokine ratios for patients with reversal reaction (RR) IFN-γ, IL-17 and IL-10 production was induced by stimulation with M. leprae a for 10 patients who developed RR during this study (Bangladesh: n = 3; Brazil; n = 4; Nepal: n = 3) at leprosy diagnosis before MDT in the absence of any clinical signs of reactions and at least three months before reaction (before RR), at diagnosis of reaction before steroids (RR) or after MDT and RR, at least one month after end of steroids (after RR). IFN-γ/ IL-10 b and IL-17/ IL-10 c ratios and ROC (receiver operating characteristics) curves are shown. For calculations of ROC values, time points before RR versus at RR diagnosis (B, C middle panels) or at RR diagnosis versus after RR (B, C right panel) were considered
