The area under the curve (AUC) for lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) in predicting severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome complicated by severe viral myocarditis (SFTS-SVM) were 0.728 [95% CI (0.616, 0.839)] and 0.744 [95% CI (0.63, 0.858)], respectively. When the critical value for LDH was set at 978.5U/L, the sensitivity and specificity were 61.5% and 80%, respectively. When the critical value for NT-proBNP was set at 857.5pg/ml, the sensitivity and specificity were 59% and 95%, respectively
