Histopathological findings of thigh muscle biopsy specimens. The inflammatory infiltrations were mainly composed of CD3+ (A, brown signal), CD4+ (B, brown signal), and CD8+ (C, brown signal) T lymphocytes, and CD20+ (D, brown signal) cells were also observed. The predominantly infiltrated lymphocytes were T cells. EBV-encoded small RNA (EBER) positivity was observed in the lymphocytes by in situ hybridization (EF, brown signal)
