  1. Chi-square was used to detect differences between TB cases (confirmed and unconfirmed) and ill controls. The Yates continuity correction was used if the expected cell size was less than 5
  2. Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) A was detected in 3 samples and RSV B in 7 samples. One child had simultaneous detection of RSV A and B. Influenza A and B were simultaneously detected in 2 different samples (from different children or the same child). Parainfluenza virus (PIV) 1 and 2 were detected in 5 samples (two samples had simultaneous detection of PIV1&2), PIV 3 was not detected at all and PIV 4 was detected in 9 samples
