Tuberculosis transmission model. The capital letters U, L, and R stands for uninfected, latent, and recovered. The notations PTB and ExPTB correspond to active pulmonary TB and extra-pulmonary TB respectively. In order to distinguish new and relapsed cases, the subscripts n and r are used. The subscript h is used for hyper-susceptible individuals. The red arrows show the hyper-susceptibility progression process by which individuals move from group G1 to group G2
