Workflow for Zika detection on infected mosquito samples using Q-paper technology. A mosquito body (ZV 9, Table 3) was first crushed on Q-paper and treated with 1 M aqueous NH3 (pH ≈ 12) solution, and paper was then sequentially washed with 50% EtOH and water.
