The mean CD4+ T-cell counts are shown for HIV-negative/HBV-A DNA positive MSM (N = 30, mean 853 ± 68 cells/μl), HIV-negative/HBV-A + HBV-G DNA positive MSM (N = 9, mean 848 ± 90 cells/μl), HIV-positive/HBV-A DNA positive MSM (N = 57, mean 534 ± 34 cells/μl), and HIV-positive/HBV-A + HBV-G DNA positive MSM (N = 28, mean 483 ± 39 cells/μl), respectively. Statistical significance is indicated by p-values (Student’s t-test, two-tailed, NS = not significant). CD4+ T-cell ranges are 290–1710 cells/μl for HIV-negative MSM and 90–1310 cells/μl for HIV-positive MSM
