The apoptotic profile of T lymphocytes from peripheral blood of uninfected individuals (NI) and patients with Chagas disease - indeterminate (IND) or cardiac (CARD) form. The detection of apoptosis was performed using the percentage of annexin+ (panel a) and caspase 3+ (panel b) in total lymphocytes, CD4+ or CD8+ T cell subsets. The lymphocytes were evaluated without stimulation - control cultures (C) and after in vitro stimulation with TcAg (T. cruzi antigens) and STP (staurosporin). Mann–Whitney test was used for comparison and the results were expressed as the median with interquartile range. Differences (p < 0.05) are presented by the corresponding numbers and connecting lines in the box plot graphs
