Proliferation of peripheral blood mononuclear cell induced by T. cruzi antigens (TcAg). A total of 3×105 cells/well isolated from non-infected (NI) (n = 15), indeterminated (IND) (n = 15) and cardiac (CARD) (n = 15) groups were cultured in the presence of medium (RPMI-10 % AB serum) and TcAg (25 μg/mL) for 5 days, the last 18 h in the presence of 0.5 μCi[3H]-thymidine. The thymidine incorporation was measured by liquid scintillation spectroscopy. Data were reported as means of triplicates of counts per minute (cpm). Significant differences (p-value < 0.05) in the charts are identified by connecting lines and the symbol (*) for comparisons between the groups. Mann–Whitney test was used for comparison and the results were expressed as the median
