  1. Principle Component 1 (PCA1) is most influenced by the anti-plasmodial responses while PCA2 is most influenced by anti-schistosome responses. The loadings indicate the correlation between the original variable and the new principle competent (PC), i.e. they indicate the extent to which the original variables are influential in forming the PC [32]. Variables with loadings > 0.5 are highlighted in bold.
