aThirty four ATL patients who were assisted at Hospital de Doenças Tropicais Anuar Auad (Goiânia - Goiás, West Central, Brazil), 24 with bCL (Cutaneous Leishmaniasis) and 10 with cML (mucosal leishmaniasis). dMST: Montenegro skin test; ePCR: polymerase chain reaction for Leishmania genus; fIHC: histopathological exam with immunohistochemistry for amastigotes; gIFI: indirect immunofluorescence; 21 patients were from West Central region of Brazil (including 9 with ML; one was from South East); 10 from North and one from North East.
