  1. aThree patients had multifocal infection sites.
  2. bOne patient had arthritis of the left shoulder joint and one had arthritis of the left sacroiliac joint.
  3. cOther sites of infection (each n = 1) included infective endocarditis, liver abscess and pneumonia, retropharyngeal abscess, sinusitis, and meningitis. One patient had both pneumonia and liver abscess along with vertebral osteomyelitis.
