  1. The regression coefficients compare the total and age-specific ILI (influenza like illness) or ARI (acute respiratory infection) rates observed during the peak week of influenza activity, four weeks preceding the peak and four weeks following the peak in each of the countries
  2. Ŧ Ranking is based on the regression coefficient for 0-4 age group
  3. ‡ a positive regression coefficient means that the rate observed during the pandemic was higher compared to the historical seasons; a negative regression coefficient means that the rate observed during the pandemic was lower compared to the historical seasons
