Identity and functional analysis of the CHIKV-033 isolate. A Representative electron micrographs of negative staining of CHIKV-033 particles purified by sucrose gradient. Images were captured using the Zeiss Libra 120 transmission electron microscope at 80 kV (Scale bars, 2 μm, 0.5 μm, 100 nm and 50 nm). B SDS-PAGE pattern of purified CHIK-033 virions. MiniProtean Stain Free gels (Biorad) showed the typical pattern of the spike proteins, i.e., E1 at 48 kDa, E2 at 46 kDa and capsid protein (CP) at 30 kDa. Precision Plus Protein Unstained Standards (Biorad) was used like molecular weight marker. C Direct ELISA of the anti-CHIKV 4N12, 4J21 and D9 (5F10) control antibodies. Each experiment was carried out at least three times with independent samples. Representative numbers are presented as average ± standard error of the mean (SEM)
