Action plan interviews

Local nvHAP ambassadors

Semi-structured interviews of approximately one hour to assess the current implementation status of each nvHAP bundle element throughout the study periods, as well as identify potential or actual barriers and facilitators to implementation, and plan a list of actions to be taken locally.

Interviews will be audio-recorded and transcribed where acceptable and structured notes will be taken systematically. These and the written action plan documents established after each interview will be included in qualitative analysis.

Drop-in interviews

Frontline clinicians

Short, semi-structured, drop-in interviews of 10–15 min to learn from frontline staff about their experience with the nvHAP implementation and identify local barriers and enablers to implementation.

Detailed, structured notes will be taken during and after each drop-in interview and/or the interview will be audio-recorded and transcribed verbatim to be included in qualitative analysis.

Focus group interview

Frontline clinicians

Semi-structured focus group interviews of approximately 1 h to assess implementation outcomes among frontline staff.

Focus groups will be audio-recorded and transcribed verbatim for inclusion in qualitative analysis.
