Enrollment Schema. All patients admitted to Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital and Egleston Children’s Hospital from 2002 to 2010 with positive culture for Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) and had diagnosis of S.aureus infection were included. (Data collected did not include any S. aureus colonization or carriage information as this was not available.) All unique patients’ addresses were geo-coded and divided into those with community associated methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and those with community associated methicillin sensitive Staphylococcus aureus
