Officially inform the local stakeholders about the blanket approach and schedule

2. Planning and logistics

- Training of the team

- - Arrangements for transportation, medicines, supplies and stationary

3. Travel

A courtesy call to the village head

4. IEC

Community information on health, leprosy and purpose of visit

5. Screening

Door to door:

- Line listing

- Informed consent

- Physical examination to diagnose leprosy

- - Checking eligibility criteria

6. Medication/ Referral

- MDT to the newly identified cases

- SDR to the eligible individuals (only in the first two visits)

- - Biological sample collection for difficult to diagnose cases

7. Data collection

Simultaneously with step 5 and 6

8. Training of local health worker

- MDT treatment

- Management of leprosy complications

- - Follow-up of those who are absent or excluded to receive SDR
