Genotypes of the mitochondrial large ribosomal subunit (mtLSU) were determined by direct sequencing of nucleotides 85 and 248: genotype 1ā€‰=ā€‰85C/248C, 2ā€‰=ā€‰85A/248C, 3ā€‰=ā€‰85T/248C, and 4ā€‰=ā€‰85C/248T. A dark grey box indicates the period of hospitalisation during the PCP episode. The thick vertical line is the time when hospital-onset PCP was diagnosed.
