Indeterminate means the presence of HIV-1 specific Wb bands that fail interpretative criteria for reactive Wb defined as reactivity to two of the following three bands: p24, gp41, gp120/160. Positive means reactive Western blot to two of the three bands: p24, gp41, gp120/160.
