Effect of Tat on the expression of tight junction proteins. (a): D407 were treated in 100 nM HIV-1 Tat for 24 h with or without pretreatment with the PDTC (100 μM) and PD98059 (30 μM) for 1.5 h. Equal loading of protein was monitored using a specific antibody to β-actin.(b): Results of scanning densitometry of the exposed films. The relative expression level of each protein is expressed as percentage compared with control group. Values shown represent the mean ± S.D. of three independent assays or experiments.
