Theoretical epidemic generated using an SIR model. LHS numbers of susceptible, infectious and recovered individuals over time. RHS Incidence of infection and incidence of seroconversion (assuming 90% of individuals seroconvert after 7 days). All model solutions use a reproductive number of R=1.4, a mean generation time T g =2.6 days, and are seeded at time t=0 with a single infectious individual. Scenario A, parts A and B, occurred in a population size of 100,000 individuals. Scenario B, parts C and D, occurred in a population size of 1 million. Scenario C, parts E and F, occurred in a population size of 10 million.
