  1. LTCFs, long term care facilities; LTCFs subgroup, defined as LTCF residents who had not been hospitalized in the past 12 months; a area per person is defined as total area of the LTCFs over the number of resident occupying at the time of study.
  2. Note. The odds of a patient having MRSA decreased by exp (−0.14) ≈ 0.90 times with each 10 square feet increase in area (square feet) per person when the other risk factors of presence of urinary catheter and chronic cerebral conditions were held constant.
