Antiviral effects of Lenti-2B on the viral titers in the hearts (A) and pancreases (B) of mice infected with CVB3. BALB/c mice were pretreated with lentiviruses expressing shRNAs under the condition described in the legend to Figure 3, and euthanized at days, 3, 5 and 7 post infection with CVB3 (n = 5). The heart and pancreas tissues were weighted and made a 0.2% (w/v) homogenate in 0.5 ml MEM, followed by the determination of the viral titers. Histogram represents average values of experiments performed with samples obtained from five different mice. Error bars represent mean ± standard deviation. *P < 0.01.
